Less Than Truckload has always been our specialty

LTL Freight in Canada or (Less than Truckload) freight can travel in one of two ways. Cross-Dock consolidating involves picking up small quantities of freight from various points, bringing the freight back to a central dock or terminal and finally reloading the freight to a connecting truck for delivery.
Direct Load & Go service (which is the preferred method for ShipCanada.ca) involves picking each shipment up on the same truck it will deliver on. While this option is logistically more complex, it results in faster transit times & reduced possibility of damage. To get a freight quote for LTL International shipping or any LTL shipping services, all you require is the dimensions, weight and destination.
Each LTL Trucking Company representing ShipCanada.ca specializes in specific geographic areas within North America. While obtaining the best Freight rates is a primary objective for most shippers, there are other considerations which must be taken into account especially when shipping LTL freight. All Shipping rates are valid 30 days from the date of quotation and subject to carrier availability.
Less Than Truckload options that fit your business.
ShipCanada's LTL program includes two primary service options. & The first, and most popular is the Standard Economy Service which has freight moving through our terminal network. This service adds time to your transit schedule but allows for the consolidation of other shipments to lower your overall shipping cost.
The second option is the Expedited LTL Service. (commonly referred to as Direct Load & Go service) This selection is favored by time-sensitive shippers as well as clients with freight that is more susceptible to damage. The differentiating factor is that Expedited LTL generally delivers on the same truck it is picked up on. This distinction from Economy LTL reduces the possibility of claims often associated with cross-docking.

One of the most common instances where ltl shipping service rates are subject to change are when freight dimensions exceed what was originally quoted. Another common scenario which causes additional charges is the use of a tailgate for loading and unloading.
Accurately measuring freight and anticipating various loading/unloading situations will most likely prevent unnecessary charges.
