Located along interstate 44 northeast of Oaklahoma, City is the growing city of Tulsa.   As a city rich in agriculture and industry, there is a growing need for carriers to provide export services North of the U.S. Border.   ShipCanada will show you how to ship from Tulsa to Canada and what is involved in the commercial export process.

Before your shipment is picked up, you will need to decide how your feight or package will be customs cleared when it arrives at the border.   As a general rule, motor freight (shipments typically over 150 lbs. or on a pallet) will need to be represented by a certified Canadian customs broker.   There are literally hundreds of customs brokerages in Canada that will represent you and the cost can range from $50-200 per clearance.   Visit our Customs Tracking page to see a few of the brokerages listed.

If your shipment is less than 150 lbs. and not on a pallet (i.e. travelling by courier), the customs will likely be done by the courier.   Large courier companies generally have in-house customs to quickly clear international shipment while they are in transit.

One of the documents you will require with either shipping method is a commercial invoice. This outlines (at a minimum) the Seller, the Buyer, the Value & currency used, the product description (ideally with the an H.S. code) and the quantity of the item being exported.   You will need to make (3) copies of this document and provide it to the driver upon pickup.   If your shipment arrives at the border with the Commercial invoice it will be refused entry.

The transit time for Shipping From Tulsa to Canada can range from 3-4 days for standrd LTL into Southern Ontario to 3-5 days for transit into Vancouver, B.C.   For courier shipments on an economy service the transit time can take slightly longer with average shipping times taking 4-6 days.
