Shipping Personal Goods from
Canada to the USA (on pallets)

There is often confusion as to how to ship personal goods (via Pallet) to the United States from Canada.   ShipCanada will ship up to 2 Pallets of personal goods anywhere in the U.S. under the following conditions.

  • 1. The importer must enter the United States prior to the goods being shipped.
  • 2. The importer must have doumented proof that they reside in the U.S. or have a valid I-94 form.
  • 3. The importer must complete a form 3299.
  • 4. Each shipment must have a detailed manifest of all items being shipped that can be presented to U.S. customs upon arrival at the border.

ShipCanada is one of the few companies that will provide palletized personal goods shipping into the United States.   This service is appropriate when the the shipment is not large enough to warrant the use of a moving company and is also not consistent with what would be considered a "Courier" shipment.

As a general guideline, we normally recommend this service to individual shippers who are shipping in excess of 15 boxes with an actual or dimensional weight of 40 lbs.

It is also important to note that ShipCanada™ cannot guarantee the customs clearance of any shipment crossing so the importer must have an alternate address in Canada for the goods in the event the shipment is refused by U.S. customs for any reason whatsoever.
